Line Vautrin (1913 - 1997): A witch's mirror with three rows of amber-pink glass cabochons evoking rhodochrosite (oxidized manganese carbonate), sealed into bars and bound in resin by concentric circles. Very graphic execution in Talosel, holographic signature on reverse and hallmark (Dr. Jacques Peiffer, laboratoire céramographique Saint-Jean l'Aigle). Provenance estate of Professor Henri CLAUDE (1928 - 2021), Art History lecturer at the Nancy School of Fine Arts and Architecture, President of the Stanislas Academy, whose wife spent several years in Line Vautrin's studio, creating personal works. Diameter: 48 cm (minor crazing on some decorative elements).
