Light cavalry officer saber AN IX, iron scabbard with two brass bails, repairs on the scabbard, blued blade and gilded decorations. Light cavalry officer saber, type AN IX. Restoration period. Handle covered with chagrin and decorated with a filigree. Gilded brass mounting with chased decoration. Cap with long tail. Brass hilt called "à la chasseur", with three branches and shuttle-shaped pommels. Curved blade with flat back, counter-edge, hollow sides and gutters. It is blued and with engraved and gilded decorations on its half. Iron scabbard with two gilded brass fittings and two rings. Good condition with a strap.
